THE BEACHES

Of course, a mask and snorkel are a must for observing the seabed along the Var coastline. A simple way to discover the richness of aquatic life

• Escalet: This superb beach of fine sand and turquoise waters is named for the customs house at the foot of the Taillat Peninsula, of which all that remains today is a partly restored ruin. Magnificent views and quiet nature are the hallmarks of this site, preserved by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Accessible by foot only.
• Les Salins: Sheltered from the mistral, this white sand beach is located next to the village of Saint-Tropez, at the end of the Route des Salins. We appreciate the pristine, wild setting, surrounded by umbrella pines, ideal for those in search of a little peace and quiet.
• Les Canebiers: A sand beach for those who like peace and quiet. The environment is natural and preserved, a haven of peace bordered by umbrella pines and reeds.
• Gigaro: Beach in the commune of La Croix-Valmer. About 15 kilometres from Ramatuelle, at the end of the coastal trail, you'll find this quiet beach. 

WATER SPORTS

Take a break to learn new nautical skills or perfect the ones you have. The Club Sportif de l'Escalet invites you to discover the joys of skiing and wakeboarding safely, with lessons and courses supervised by qualified instructors.
